Nadia Chilmonik is originally from Omak Washington and now lives in Brooklyn New York. She is an Engineer tinkerer and most of all an Artist. She started her artistic journey at 3 years old when she first started studying ballet. She went on to practice perform and compete spanning 16 years of her life. She had a severe injury which left her with a broken ACL and no artistic outlet. From there, Nadia began integrating new art forms into her life while studying engineering in Washington DC at George Washington University. When Nadia got out of school she was both an Engineer and a selling artist who had had three shows in DC and had developed a passion for the ways technology effects culture.Since then Nadia has shown paintings and sculptures at spaces in Brooklyn and Manhattan and curated a show with her own art as well as other forward thinking artists at the Generator An events space focused on Blockchain and Crypto technology Professionally as an engineer she has taught the likes of Mastercard and IBM about the future of blockchain and data science and has had a fellowship with NASA.
Nadia has been involved in emerging tech working on projects involved in technologies from Quantum Computing to Satellite Imagery and Predictive Algorithms. On a more personal side she started meditating when she was in high school and has developed her own meditation practices. During the pandemic she was forced like many other people to spend significant time alone and was able to dive deeper into her spiritual practice. This journey has led her to focus more completely on my art. Because of her understanding of the edge of innovation Nadia has been positioned to create works which reflect our cultural and tech changes and where we are headed. Nadia is an advocate for peace equity and human rights. She is a prolific artist who has created over 100 works.
